Freelance Report Authors - Mobile & Telecoms


Our Client is looking to expand its range of analyst reports and wishes to commission a number of freelance analyst/report writers to produce a range of new reports.

The role requires the author to research a particular telecoms/mobile area and develop an understanding of the dynamics and opportunities in that sector - via secondary/internet research as well as telephone interviews with executives in the field. This results in the production of a circa 100-150 page report that typically includes chapters on vendor strategies, service provider/operator strategies, technology overviews, market analysis/drivers/inhibitors, standards/regulations etc plus a suite of forecasts for that sector (assisted by an in-house forecasting expert).

- Follow-on consultancy work and conference speaking opportunities may be available.
- More permanent arrangements are available for successful authors.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Knowledge & Skills
o Knowledge of telecoms or mobile sectors
o Good written and numerate skills
o Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate effectively complex markets, products, technologies and ideas
o Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet research

o Quality conscious with a good attention to detail
o Able to take responsibility, ownership of a project
o Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
o Enthusiastic and self motivated

Location: UK. Home based with regular meetings at their office.
