This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well known large company on the outskirts of Henley. This company is celebrating their 60th birthday this year and was the first established company of its kind in the UK. They are internationally renowned!
They are looking for an experienced Deputy Estate manager to manage the Estate operations, ensuring the provision of a prompt and effective response service to reported defects around the estate.
As part of your responsibilities you will also coordinate all Health and Safety related matters, to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with Health, Safety and Environment Policy and all statutory provisions.
The key duties of this role are that you will be processing incoming work requests and allocating and prioritising work for the department. You will need to deal with queries from the Estate team regarding work to be completed, ordering materials and supplies monitoring prices of materials and supplies, processing order and invoices, liaising with contractors and additional responsibilities when the Estate Manager is absent.
Part responsibilities for the Health and Safety coordinator will include reviewing and up-dating the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and practices as required to meet legislative requirements, maintain the H&S at the company, act as first point of contact for any H&S issues, conduct and coordinate H&S inspections, ensure all new employees receive adequate induction with respect to H&S matters.
Our client is looking for someone who has previous experience in coordination within a facilities, construction or property management background. Previous experience coordinating/supervising others would be an advantage. You must have good knowledge of H&S issues, good customer service skills, great planning and organisational skills and excellent PC skills. Ideally you would have a few years experience within facilities, construction or property management. Holding a NEBOSH certificate would be an advantage – however not essential if willing to obtain this qualification.
