Contract Support/Administration Officer - Technical - Highways - Guildford - Surrey

TCL/LJ 219714: Our client seeks a contract support officer for an assignment within the highways department of its community services division.
We are acting for a Surrey based local authority
The post will be located in Guildford, GU1 and will be for 36 hpw, Mon-Fri, normal business hours.
This is anticipated to be, initially at least, a 3 month assignment.
Essence of role:
1 Collate Key Performance Indicator data
2 Identify and investigate KPI areas that are not performing and wherever possible resolve issues. Prepare reports for the SHP Core Group. Investigate contract areas where performance, financial management, productivity or accountability is in question and challenge the constructor as necessary.
3 Assist Surrey Auditors in the audit of the Constructor through the open book contract.
4 Support, coordinate and assist the Area Transportation, Traffic Systems, Structures and other Group/Team representatives with QS functions and queries, particularly related to works, under SHP and advise on measures which will lead to improved performance ratings.
5 Investigate contract probity and integrity in order to maximise value for money and satisfy financial management.
Candidate requirements (*indicates must be CLEARLY EVIDENT FROM YOUR CV, not just your covering letter, to avoid auto-rejection by client):
*UK contract support/technical administration experience within a large organisation
UK local authority or other public sector experience advantageous, but not a prerequisite
Any highway services related experience a bonus and could usefully be stated on your CV
