Our client is a successful marketing agency based in Godalming with Offices in Covent Garden, London.
They are currently seeking an experienced PR Account Manager to join their team.
The Account Manager (Corporate) is responsible for managing and implementing client PR programmes to build successful, productive and profitable client relationships.
Working effectively with the account team, the Account Manager must ensure that client activities are undertaken on time, within resource allocations and meet the agreed plan and objectives..
Client responsibilities:
•Working with the relevant Director to develop, write and agree client PR plans, objectives and strategies
•Taking on full responsibility for the effective management of clients on a day to day basis, ensuring work is progressed satisfactorily and opportunities are being seized
•Drafting accurate and high quality written materials – press releases, case studies, features, briefing documents, invitations and newsletters
•Maintaining relationships with key journalists, actively pursuing and researching media news and feature opportunities
•Managing press events, photocalls, briefings
•Researching and contributing ideas to the creative development of client programmes
•Overseeing the day to day work of junior team members, setting priorities to ensure effective delivery, journalist liaison and written materials
•To assist with the management and motivation of the account team, identifying any issues to discuss with the relevant Director
Company responsibilities:
•Assisting with new business development (research skills and ideas) and helping to draft pitch documents when required
•Monitoring any client related issues/problems and report to senior team members
•Setting aside dedicated time to ensure the effective personal and professional development of Account Executives
•Participating in company meetings/initiatives/brainstorms etc
•Adhering to all company policies/procedures (timesheets etc)
•Working cooperatively and proactively with team and third parties to ensure a high level of service to clients
•Ensuring that time is managed productively and efficiently (ideally, 80% chargeable to clients)
Skills requirements: (You need to be able to demonstrate the consistent delivery of the following before being considered for Account Director)
•You have demonstrated effective team management and delegation skills
•You have proven your ability to understand and meet client consultation requirements, local politics and the issues affecting them
•You have managed a number of successful consultation programmes / met client consultation objectives
•You have proven your ability for strategic thinking (in writing plans and consultation strategies, helping to develop new business opportunities etc)
•You can produce high quality written materials (press releases, plans, case studies, features, presentations etc)
•You have made a positive contribution to business development
•You have demonstrated that you can consistently manage accounts with minimum input from senior managers
