Finance Manager - Godalming - Surrey

Our client based in Godalming are a leader in the in the National supply of Facilities and support industry and are currently looking to fill a Finance Managers role.
About you
Applicants should have a Finance Degree (or equivalent).
Previous experience of managing a busy Finance Department would also be desirable
In addition to this previous experience of working within a National Building Services company.
Strong organisational, teamworking and people skills are also essential, coupled with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
The role
1. To manage the accounts function and be responsible for the production of the accurate and timely accounts to Trial Balance level.
2. To lead the sales, purchasing and credit control functions to ensure that all procedures are updated, maintained and adhered to.
3. To produce reports, as required, of the department for the business eg Job reports for issue to Contract Managers.
4. To ensure that the rebate collection process is robust enough for rebates to be actioned in an accurate and timely manner in order to assist with cashflow.
5. Liaison with the other Finance/Account Managers to ensure consistency of approach, report generation etc.
6. To provide support and guidance to the team by both coaching and then policing the outcomes.
7. To actively develop Succession Planning both within the function and by working with the other Senior Managers in the business.
8. To ensure that all work is undertaken in line with both legislative and Company standards in relation to financial accounting.
9. To attend client and potential client meetings, as required, representing the Company.
