Civil/Geotechnical Engineer
Hook, Hampshire
£22,000 - £28,000 Plus Annual Non Contractual Bonus, 20 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays (rises by 1 day a year, up to 25 days), Free Lunch
Our client is the world leader in the manufacture of laboratory and field testing equipment. Established for over 30 years, they provide state of the art hardware and software solutions for geotechnical engineers and geologists. Due to extensive growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.
This position would suit someone with either a geotechnical or civil engineering background looking to further their career with a growing, dynamic company with an international reputation and customer base.
As the Civil/Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and installing high quality, top of the range standard and bespoke equipment that is used by civil/geotechnical engineers and geologists. Training will be given.
Specifically, you assist with commissioning and testing new and existing products prior to shipping. You will also be required to carry out installation and systems training at customer sites both in the UK and abroad.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing user guides and handbooks for existing and new products
- Testing products, ensuring that they are in full working order
- Preparing new commissioning procedures and updating/modifying existing ones
To be considered for this role, you must have a geotechnical or civil engineering background. Applicants without commercial experience but with a strong degree (or equivalent) in either subject will also be considered.
Our client is looking for a reliable, technically minded individual, with strong communication skills. Additionally, you will need good problem solving and excellent analytical capabilities.
