An opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer to be part of a multi disciplined role supporting production and sales. The primary role will include:
Prepare parts lists and layout drawings to issue jobs to the assembly workshop.
Prepare layouts and some detail drawings.
Assist in purchasing goods and progress chasing delivery’s.
Assist sales in preparing sales layout drawings and creating costs for quotations.
Keep paper work and parts list organised and updated with prices and order details.
Give technical support and assistants to spare part requests.
Costing and development exercises for new products.
Some hands on engineering will be required in busy periods.
Gain a good technical understanding of the product and the applications.
Liase closely with the assembly workshop.
Capable of handling a number of jobs simultaneously and working to tight deadlines.
Experience:
Technical engineering background with preferably an Hons Degree in Engineering.
3-5 Years working in engineering.
A knowledge of conveyors and conveyor systems, manufacturing or materials handling.
Be able to think in 3D and understand engineering drawings.
Be fully computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel, and have a good understanding of a CAD package (training on our package will be provided).
Must have a good telephone manner, and be familiar with standard office procedures.
For the successful applicant there would be opportunities to progress further with project & production planning or sales related responsibilities after the first couple of years as the company moves forward.
Salary range.
£16,000.00 to £18,000.00 per annum.
